In partnership with the James C. Hormel Center at SFPL, Radar Productions is pleased to announce a call for LGBTQIA2S+ artists of color to participate in Show Us Your Spines. This six-week residency will allow them to create work inspired by the Queer Archives.
Eligibility:
Black, Indigenous, Latine, Asian, Pacific Islander, SWANA and Mixed LGBTQ2S+ Artists in the Bay Area
Working in any written medium, including but not limited to poetry, memoir, fiction, essay, travel, biography, afro-futurism, sci-fi, romance, youth lit, comics, or research and development for stage, performance art, music, film, and video
Deeply interested in exploring the intersection of art, identity, and community
Residency Details:
The residency will occur remotely and on-site at the San Francisco Public Library's Main branch @ Civic Center from June to November 2023.
Artists will receive a $750 stipend via check or PayPal
Residents will have access to the San Francisco Public Library's and RADAR’s Archives staff, and resources, including a music library, reading rooms, emotional alchemy mentorship, and public programs.
Artists will participate in a public program to share their work with audiences near and far.
